b9fs - A filesystem for beets (placeholder)
Beets is a program for handling your music, it tags you music but it also build a fast searchable database for your music.
b9fs uses this database to map out a filesystem so you can navigate the database, this way you don't need a special program to find your favourite rock song.
Program is currently being designed and heavyly changed from time to time.
- Premade searches: Sort by artist, genre, album, date (maybe something more)
- Free search mode: Enter urls that gets converted to sql.
- Files displayed are the real files and can be read. Writing to files should either be: not be permitted (forcing you to use the beets tool) or updating both the file and beets.
I recommend 9mount to mount this filesystem.
You need will go 9p bindings to compile the server.
To install with the go install tool:
go get code.google.com/p/go9p/p
You will be able to get the copy from:
git clone https://github.com/dagle/b9fs
but currently, it's not in a stage of even sharing any code. Help is still welcome
